Everyday we are dying . The moment you
hear this it might jolt you and you might start cursing me . But as you read
through you will realize what I meant.
All of us has been told how to live,
how to behave, how to do things and the list goes on . And what exactly
are we doing during this whole process ? we dwell on
others ideas while killing our own that means we are not
living !
God has created each one with a
unique ability and we fail to see it and follow others . In short we are like
the herd of sheep which follows the flock without knowing whether we are going
to be killed or left alive.
And when a calamity strikes in form of
losing job, a loved one, money due to earthquake , panademic etc we try to find
a way out and start thinking differently.
"Dying" in this context
is used a as a metaphor to define what we fail to know, learn and look at and
then get depressed or pity ourselves. in short a reactive approach to
life, although in our jobs we speak of proactively handling a situation and
fail to apply the same learning here.
So what is that we need to learn or
change about ourselves .
Learn to Filter and Rationalize your
thoughts -
Our mind has always been
fickle . There are lots of thoughts running through it , that can be
positive or negative . So its important that we filter the thoughts and focus
on thoughts that make us happy or help us being a better human
Stop Complaining -
Complaining has never helped us . It
just connects us with our past thoughts and if we go on complaining, it will
create a bad image about us . Complaining will never help us in finding a
solution but will make a small problem look bigger. As situations become tough
, we feel a urge to complain but if we stop and look for alternates we may get
out of the thought.
Smile -
Smile is a five letter word which will
not bring peace to our mind and refresh our thoughts but will also reflect this
to others who will come in contact with you . This is build good relationships
and we will in the process find us and help other to find themselves
Do your Karma -
Do your Karma and don't wait for the
results . This is a important verse from Bhagavad Gita . It just says that life
is unpredictable the only thing that we can control is Karma , the results are
never in our hands its the almighty to process it .
Family first -
We do give time to office , friends ,
acquaintances and may in the journey of life. But We need to realise that the
people who has always being standing and will be standing with you during tough
times is your FAMILY . So it becomes our duty to ensure we are available for
them especially our parents
Respect your Parents -
Our Parents are what made us what we
are today so it becomes our primary responsibility to respect them and take
care of them without any expectations . As during our childhood the one thing
that kept us going is there unconditional Love
Engage in your Hobbies -
As we tread through life our focus is
mainly to make a career , make money and build castle of sand . In this
process we forget our identity and hobbies actually define what we are . These
are small things which keep us happy and may become a way to create income as
well . So finding some time to engage in hobbies will keep our mind at peace
and keep ius away from evil thoughts
Learn something New -
Learning is an ongoing process .
It just keep our mind alert and young . Learning something new doesn't always
mean read books on topics related to your work , rather it is a process to
learn anything that can be music, dance etc.
Learn Patience and Perseverance -
Success has always come to those who
have been patient in tough times and built self via perseverance . There are
times when anything can go wrong but the if we are able to be patient life
becomes a bit easy
Silence is Golden -
Sometimes it is better to be Silent
even though we have a urge to argue or put our thoughts across. Because life
becomes easier if we practice harmony . Relations are some times more important
than the harsh truth .
In short lets learn to live by
practicing certain constraint and practicing gratitude by accepting whatever
Life throws at us .
